Every hike
becomes a story.
Choose or plan a walk, see what is curated versus community-mapped, stay oriented as you go, and turn the memories you add into a scrapbook worth keeping.

Routes you can
actually rely on.
The number one complaint about hiking apps? Wrong routes. Bramble distinguishes Bramble-curated walks from community-mapped routes, then tells you live when you drift off your chosen line.
- 🛡️Trail source, visibleSee whether a walk is Bramble-curated or community-mapped before setting off.
- 📍Live on-route confidenceA gentle nudge the moment you drift — long before it becomes a detour.
- 🅿️Trailhead essentialsCheck mapped parking and facilities before you make the drive.
A scrapbook that
keeps the feeling.
Add photos or a short clip while you walk and Bramble keeps their place on the route. Afterwards, arrange the day into a scrapbook with captions, tape and your own finishing touches.
- 📸Photos pinned to the pathTap a polaroid on the map and you're back on that hillside.
- 📖Printable yearbooksExport any scrapbook as a beautiful PDF — gifts, fridges, grandparents.
- 📍The route stays with itKeep the path, distance and moments together instead of losing them in a camera roll.
Safety that never sleeps.
Share a live beacon link with anyone — they watch you move on a map, no app needed, and it expires when you're done. Check-in texts write themselves. If you pass the planned finish time, Bramble nudges you locally to check in.
A guide who lives
in your pocket.
Ask anything — "what should I walk this weekend?", "enough daylight left?", "draw me an 8 km route from here" — and your guide answers from real maps, real forecasts and your own walking history. Tap any trail it suggests and you're on the real route.
- 🔒No cloud promptsGuide questions are processed on your iPhone with Apple's Foundation Models, not sent to Bramble.
- ✈️Honest offline modeThe model, saved routes, local stats and emergency grid reference work offline. Fresh forecasts, trail search and new routing need signal or cache.
- 🧭Real data onlyEvery factual answer shows what it checked — and safety answers are never improvised: your live grid reference and the right number to call, every time.
Appears automatically on iPhones with Apple Intelligence (iOS 26+). Every other Bramble feature works everywhere, guide or no guide.
Thoughtful everywhere.
Weather at the trailhead
Hourly and 7-day forecasts for where the walk actually starts — not the nearest town.
Trails everywhere
Land anywhere and real local routes appear. Pan the map and watch trails fill the view.
Plan your own routes
Drop points, and your line snaps to real footpaths. Save it, hike it, share it.
Live Activities
Keep useful hike progress on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island.
Optional Apple Health
Record a finished hike as a walking workout on supported iPhones when you choose.
Offline trail packs
Save a trail's route and map details before leaving signal. Fresh weather still needs a connection.
No ads. Your routes
stay yours.
No advertising identifiers and no selling your favourite quiet places. Anonymous usage statistics are optional, route ends can be hidden before sharing, and your hikes export as GPX and PDF.

TestFlight beta installs are open now, and Apple does not charge for TestFlight purchases. Planned App Store pricing after the separate 7-day app preview is £19.99/year or £59.99 lifetime. Your local hikes remain exportable either way.
Fair questions.
Does it work outside the UK?
Yes. Bramble starts with five curated Peak District walks, while community-mapped routes from OpenStreetMap can appear elsewhere. Those routes are clearly labelled and are not presented as Bramble-verified.
Do the people I share my beacon with need the app?
No. The beacon is a private link that opens in any browser — a live map, your last update time, and an "open in Maps" button. It expires when your hike ends.
What happens after the app preview?
In the App Store release, Bramble Plus will be required to keep exploring after seven days (£19.99/year or £59.99 lifetime). The preview is managed by Bramble, not an Apple subscription trial, so a real App Store purchase will bill immediately. TestFlight purchases are sandboxed and are not charged. Your hikes, photos and scrapbooks remain on your phone and exportable either way.
Does it drain my battery?
Tracking is tuned for walking, not racing, and there's a dedicated battery-saver mode for all-day days.
Where does the trail data come from?
The curated Peak District walks use Ordnance Survey-derived planning data. Community-mapped routes and facilities come from OpenStreetMap, weather from MET Norway, and some place imagery from Wikimedia Commons. Full credits live in the app under About & legal.
