Every hike
becomes a story.
Verified trails you can trust, a scrapbook that builds itself as you walk, and a live beacon so the people who love you can watch you wander. Bramble is the hiking app that earns its place in your pocket.

Routes you can
actually rely on.
The number one complaint about hiking apps? Wrong routes. Bramble shows you exactly why a trail can be trusted — and tells you live when you drift off it.
- 🛡️Trail confidence, visibleWhen it was verified, how well GPS tracks match, and what hikers reported this week.
- 📍Live on-route confidenceA gentle nudge the moment you drift — long before it becomes a detour.
- 🅿️Car park intelligence"Usually full by 9am" — community-powered, before you waste the drive.
A scrapbook that
makes itself.
Photos pin themselves to the exact spot on your route. By the time your boots are off, the day is already a keepsake — captions, washi tape and all.
- 📸Photos pinned to the pathTap a polaroid on the map and you're back on that hillside.
- 📖Printable yearbooksExport any scrapbook as a beautiful PDF — gifts, fridges, grandparents.
- 👯Friends & gentle leaderboardsFirst names only, opt-in only, no feeds, no streak guilt.
Safety that never sleeps.
Share a live beacon link with anyone — they watch you move on a map, no app needed, and it expires when you're done. Check-in texts write themselves. If you're overdue, you'll both know.
Thoughtful everywhere.

Fair questions.
Does it work outside the UK?
Yes — open the app anywhere and community-mapped local routes appear automatically, with the map browser showing every mapped trail in view. Our hand-verified catalogue starts in the Peak District and is growing.
Do the people I share my beacon with need the app?
No. The beacon is a private link that opens in any browser — a live map, your last update time, and an "open in Maps" button. It expires when your hike ends.
What happens after the free trial?
Bramble Plus is required to keep using the app (£19.99/year or £59.99 lifetime). Your hikes, photos and scrapbooks remain on your phone and exportable as GPX and PDF either way.
Does it drain my battery?
Tracking is tuned for walking, not racing, and there's a dedicated battery-saver mode for all-day days.
Where does the trail data come from?
Our verified catalogue is authored against Ordnance Survey data; worldwide routes come from OpenStreetMap, weather from MET Norway, photos from Wikimedia Commons. Full credits live in the app under About & legal.
